Guadalupe Victoria of Mexico, born José Miguel Ramón Adaucto Fernández y Félix (whew!).
His name, Guadalupe Victoria [Our Lady of Guadalupe Triumphant], was adopted in honor of the revolutionary flag which depicted Our Lady of Guadalupe, often considered Mexico’s first flag.
