The  pic  shows  a  lady  feeding  bread  to  her  kids . This  type  of  bread  was  almost  excusively  consumed  by  the  poor in  North  England .

What  gets  its  name  from  the  fact  that  it  was  used  to  transport  this  bread ?

Haversack , from  the  fact  that  it  was  used  to  carry  Havercakes .

Cracked only  by  one  of  our  youngest  followers , Subin . Take  a  bow , kiddo !

This is Haverbread/Yorkshire Oatcakes/Havercake :D . Here ‘Costumes of Yorkshire’ by George Walker is shown. It have rise to the term ‘Haversack’ , a bag, usually carried by a single shoulder strap.
