Constantin Brâncu?i sculpture of “Princess X” was based on Princess Marie Bonaparte conducted affairs with Aristide Briand French prime minister and was portrayed by Catherine Deneuve in the 2004 film Princesse Marie.This sculpture created a scandal in 1919 when he represented her or caricatured her as a large gleaming bronze phallus.
