This  is  Duc  de  Richelieu’s  statue  overlooking  the  Odessa  Stairs . The  scene  is  from  ‘The  Untouchables’  and  is  a  tribute  to  the  very  famous  Odessa  Stairs  sequence  from  ‘Battleship  Potemkin’  .

    The clue was the stair way shoot out scene from The Untouchables which pays homage to Odessa steps sequence from Battleship Potamkin.
