Harold  Gray’s  ( A )  ‘Little  Orphan  Annie’  series ( X )  gave  rise  to  the  term  ‘Orphan  Annie  Eye’  Nuclei ( Y ) , one  of  the  most  identifiable  histological  features  of  Papillary  Carcinoma  of  Thyroid ( B ) . These  nuclei  are  stained  uniformly  throughout  and  therefore  appear  empty , just  like  the  title  character’s  eyes .
