Daily Question # 252

Today’s  question  comes  from  Hrishikesh  Varma .

Whose  face  is  blanked  out ? What  is  the  story  behind  the  picture ?

Q1

Marlon Brando. The guy wearing the football helmet is Ron Galella, arguably the most famous paparazzo of all time. Once, in a fit of anger, Brando broke Galella’s jaw for spying on him. Thereafter, Galella followed Brando only wearing a helmet .

Cracked  by  Rithwik , Anil  Raghavan , Arun  Hiregange  and  Suraj . Fantastic  work !

  1. Rithwik says:

Marlon Brando (missing) and Ron Galella (Papparazzi) in New York. (1974)

    ” Quoting Galella,

November 26, 1974: NYC, Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. First Annual Gala Benefiting the American Indian Development Association. I was barred from this event, so I waited in the lobby for Marlon Brando’s arrival. This time I came prepared, wearing a football helmet. I had to physically push shy photographer Paul Schulmach to take the picture. This has become the most published picture of me.”
