    dorothy parker bequethed her literary estate to king&hellmann was the executor

    Upon her death in 1967, writer Dorothy Parker left most of her estate to civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr.

    Following King’s death, her estate was passed on to the NAACP. Her executrix, Lillian Hellman, bitterly but unsuccessfully contested this disposition.

    Also left her ashes to writer Lillian Hellman, who reportedly never claimed them.
