The  painting  shows  Tipu  Sultan’s  army  fighting  the  British  and  achieving  a  famous  victory  thanks  to  the  rocket  brigades , which  probably  is  the  first  ever  example  of  rocket  warfare . The  painting  hangs  in  the  lobby  of  the  Wallops  Flight  Facility  of  NASA . It  was  this  painting  that  greatly  influenced  APJ  Abdul  Kalam  and  even  went  on  to  find  a  mention  in  his  autobiography , Wings  of  Fire .

Cracked  by  Rohit  Pisharoty , Deepu ,  Anon1 , Raouf , Anil  Raghavan , Shijil , Shrey  Goyal , Bobby , Njoy , Manjith , Sumo , Nishanth  Raman and  Anon 2  ( Hrishikesh  Varma ) .

  1. Rohit Pisharoty says:

The quick servers at google say – “The lobby of NASA’s flight facility (WFF), Wallop Island, Virginia”. It depicts Tippu Sultan’s use of rockets against British Troops, possibly one of the earliest uses of rockets as weapons.

  2. Deepu says:

Wallops Flight Facility at Wallops Island in East Coast, Virginia. This place was the base for NASA’s sounding rocket programme.

  3. Moid Siddiqui says:

A painting by (Charles Hubbell) about the English confrontation with Indian rockets came in 1780 at the Battle of Guntur. The closely massed, normally unflinching British troops broke and ran when the Indian Army laid down a rocket barrage in their midst.
