This  statue  which  was  erected  in  1967  was  the  then  tallest  sculpture  in  the  world . What  does  it  commemorate ?

The  statue  of  Mother  Motherland / Motherland  Calls  in  Volgograd / Stalingrad  which  commemorates  the  Battle  of  Stalingrad .

Cracked  by  Vishnu  Vijay , Anoop  Koshy , Siddharth  Mishra , Vivek , Anon , Jyothi , Noufel  Samed , Sreeram  and  Arun AS . Viswas  got  the  stucture  right  but  the  event  wrong .
